Special Issues Policy for the Journal of Modern Science

Introduction
Special issues of the Journal of Modern Science are dedicated to exploring specific research areas that garner particular interest within a given discipline or research problem. These issues provide a unique opportunity to delve into new research territories, focusing on significant sub-disciplines or interdisciplinary applications.

Topics for Special Issues
The Editor-in-Chief reviews submitted articles for approval and oversees the entire publishing process of the special issue. We encourage proposals for special issues that meet our standards of relevance and qualification. We reserve the right to reject proposals deemed inappropriate or unqualified.

Guest Editor
A special issue may be prepared under the supervision of a guest editor, who is an expert in their field. The guest editor ensures the published content aligns with the journal's title and scope. Nonetheless, the Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to review the content for relevance. The guest editor may involve junior researchers in their team, but the oversight of the review process and final decisions on articles remain with the guest editor and must be approved by the Editor-in-Chief.

Review Process and Editorial Procedure
The review of articles for special issues follows the same procedures as for standard articles. Initially, the internal editorial team reviews all submitted articles, rejecting those that do not meet standards of quality, originality, or significance, or calling for their improvement before external review. Subsequently, the articles undergo double-blind review by two external reviewers.

Ethical Standards
Special issues adhere to the same Code of Ethics regarding publication standards as regular issues. We rigorously enforce ethical standards to ensure the highest quality of published content.

Frequency
The number of special issues per year cannot exceed the number of issues of the journal as determined by its publication frequency, in accordance with the registry of journals and periodicals mentioned in Article 20, Section 2, Point 4 of the Press Law Act of January 26, 1984.

Licenses and Access
Special issues are treated on par with standard issues of the journal. All submissions undergo the same review process as regular articles and are published in issues marked as special issues of the journal. The licensing and access policies for special issues are the same as for standard issues (CC BY-SA 3.0). The same copyright policies apply to special issues as to standard issues of the journal.

Summary
Special issues of the Journal of Modern Science are a crucial element in expanding knowledge in specific scientific fields. Through rigorous ethical standards and a precise review process, we ensure the highest quality of published articles, supporting the development and exploration of new research areas.
